Reissig Receives Mass Technology Leadership Award

October 10, 2005. Waltham, MA. —Marcia Reissig, RN, MS, CHCE, President and CEO of Partners Home Care, was one of ten recipients of the 2005 Mass Technology Leadership Award presented by the Mass Technology Leadership Council at its Awards Banquet and Fall Meeting held on October 6, 2005. This award honored ten of the region's top technology and business leaders.

Chosen from one hundred nominations, Marcia was recognized for her significant role as a force for change in the way business is conducted. She was commended for her leadership role in utilizing technology to manage a full spectrum of clinical services including point of care electronic medical records, portable physiological monitoring tools, a personal emergency response system, and remote monitoring of congestive heart failure and wound care patients across the continuum of home care services.

The Mass Technology Leadership Council is the premier association for providers and users of innovative technologies in the region. The organization is dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and promoting the success of companies that develop and deploy technology across industry sectors.

Marcia has been the President of Partners Home Care and Chief Executive of Home Care for the Partners HealthCare System since July 2001. She is responsible for the development, administration and integration of the system's $60+ million home health care programs. Serving an average daily census of over 3,000 patients, Partners Home Care's 1,400 employees make more than 500,000 home visits each year to patients living in over 140 communities in eastern Massachusetts.
