PHC Lifeline Program DevelopedLifeline, the industry leader in personal emergency response systems, has joined forces with Partners Home Care in developing the PHC Lifeline Program. PHC believes this useful technology will assist patients to remain at home safely, and Lifeline's new added enhancements will provide patients with an extra level of security. "Home health providers have always been committed to keeping patients independent and at home," explains Marcia Reissig, President of PHC. "We believe that Lifeline assists with that goal and also provides a quality product that meets Partners Home Care's high standards." Lifeline units are connected to a telephone line and are very simple to use. Customers wear a remote Personal Help Button that is the size of a silver dollar around their neck as pendant, or on their wrist like a bracelet. In the event of an emergency, they push the button and a "help" signal travels from the system to the Lifeline Response Center. Lifeline then sends help to the home immediately and alerts a contact on the "call list"a family member or neighbor designated in advance by the customer. "These devices allow patients to stay at home safely and patients feel secure knowing that emergency personnel will respond at a moment's notice," explains Yvette Wear, PHC Private Services Manager. "For many, this device often makes the difference between home and institutional care." Additional enhancements
offered by Lifeline include reminders that prompt patients on everything
from taking medications to remembering appointments. Other features include: Referrals to the PHC Lifeline Program can be arranged by a patient's clinician or by contacting a PHC Lifeline representative at 1-800-910-4225. ©2003 Partners Home Care, Inc.
