Sharing the Holiday Spirit

(L. to r): Carol Ouellett of the Women's Friends Society of Salem, Ilia Stacy, Executive Director of My Brother's Table, Susan Beausoliel, Regional Director of the North Region of Partners Home Care, Joanne Bryanos of Nahant, MA, Manager of Home Health Aides, Partners Home Care and (back) Alan Towne, Account Manager, Partners Home Care.

In response to My Brother's Table's recent appeal for increased donations and turkeys to meet the growing needs in the community this holiday season, the staff of Partners Home Care North's Region became inspired to share the holiday spirit in a special way with those who are in need by collecting over $500 to support My Brother's Table's mission to provide meals for its guests in Lynn. Additionally, the Outreach Committee of the Women's Friends Society of Salem joined the effort by donating hand-knit hats, scarves and mittens for the guests of the kitchen as well.

"Our staff's response to My Brother's Table's need is a reflection of our commitment to serving the community, both during the holidays and all through the year. We are happy to help," said Susan Beausoliel, Regional Director of the North Region of Partners Home Care.

"My Brother's Table relies entirely on donations to maintain our mission of providing meals for those in need. It is exciting for us to build these types of relationships that support our efforts," said Ilia Stacy, Executive Director of My Brother's Table. "It shows that people know there are others out there in need." Founded in 1982 in Lynn, MA, My Brother's Table serves hot, nutritious meals to an average of 200 guests, 365 days a year.

Joining Sue at the presentation of gifts was Carol Ouellett of the Women's Friends Society of Salem. Established in 1897 in Salem, MA, The Women's Friends Society is dedicated to supporting women and families in the community. The organization was a pioneer in making visits to the sick in the community, a charitable effort that later became the Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Salem, a founding member of Partners Home Care.

The spirit of giving at PHC extended beyond this opportunity, and touched the lives of many people who live throughout the agency's service area. Holiday toy and fund drives were also held in other branches to benefit PHC's pediatric patients, Rosie's Place, The Massachusetts Chapter of Veterans Services, and Toys for Tots.
