Partners Home Care Nurse Honored with Hammond Award

Partners Home Care is pleased to announce that Patricia Moynihan, RN, of North Raynham has received this year's Peter Hammond Award, established in 2007 to pay tribute to Peter Hammond, RN, a colleague and friend who passed away unexpectedly in 2006. The award honors an outstanding member of the agency's Bridgewater and Pembroke Teams who exemplifies Peter's nursing excellence and compassionate qualities.
Patricia Moynihan joined the organization when it was still known as the Bridgewater Visiting Nurse Association, a founder of Partners Home Care. As a home care clinician with over 25 years of nursing experience, Patricia most enjoys the opportunity to get to know her patients and their families, and to assist them through what can sometimes be a difficult time.
Patricia is also grateful for the flexibility and independence offered by a career in home care. While home care clinicians enjoy a sense of independence, they also need to think on their feet, and be able to respond to any situation. Patricia credits Partners Home Care for providing a strong support system that provides tools and resources to handle the difficult health care cases facing home care nurses today.
"Patty is well-regarded by the entire care team, and is viewed as a team player and valued employee who always rises to the occasion," says Kathy Hernon, regional director for PHC's south region. "She is a skilled nurse and a compassionate individual who exemplifies the spirit of this award."
Patricia was presented with her award at a reception held on October 28, 2008 at the William H. Conant Community Health Center in Bridgewater.
